Iconic Albanian Trio: Kruja-Tirana-Berat

Join us on an exceptional journey through the three most iconic places in Albania – Kruja, Tirana, and Berat.

We will start by exploring historic Kruja, where we will visit the castle of Albania’s national hero – Skanderbeg, and the most famous oriental bazaar in Albania, where you can buy souvenirs, handicrafts, silver, antiques, and many other local products.

Next, we will head to Tirana, where a hearty, multi-course lunch with traditional Albanian specialties will be waiting for us at a unique restaurant. After the meal, we will discover the capital’s main attractions, including Mother Teresa Square, the Pyramid, the largest mosque in Albania, and the representative Skanderbeg Square with the Opera, the historic Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, and the National Museum with its famous mosaic on the facade.

On the way to Berat, we will drive through the town and surroundings of Belësh, called Albanian Tuscany – a picturesque region famous for its numerous lakes and beautiful, rolling hills.

Next, we will visit Berat – the UNESCO-listed “City of a Thousand Windows.” We will tour the impressive castle towering over the city and climb to the viewpoint at the castle with an amazing panorama of Berat and the monumental Mount Tomor.

On the castle grounds, we will also visit a traditional, over 300-year-old Albanian house, where the owner will personally guide us through its interiors, tell us about the history of this unique place, and invite us for local refreshments.

Next, from the bridge over the Osum River, we will admire the famous Mangalem quarter, the “City of a Thousand Windows.” Optional entry inside this quarter.

At the end, there will be free time for a walk along the atmospheric promenade, after which we will return by coach to the hotel.
