During my visit, we were first served a bowl of beans in homemade sauce, accompanied by homemade butter and a dark bread crouton. Freshly squeezed pomegranate juice was also served. Next, we tasted roasted duck and goat meat, which were presented with various cheeses and homemade pickles. The meal was complemented by potatoes cooked over a fire, different types of bread, and local red wine.

In Albania, you won’t find extensive wine lists in restaurants. Instead, each offers its own production wines or those from local vineyards, which delight with their quality and taste.

Desserts at Mrizi i Zanave look like small works of art. For example, homemade blackberry ice cream is served on a blackberry twig, presented on a stone. Guests can also try fresh and dried forest fruits. Additionally, coffee ice cream sprinkled with freshly roasted coffee beans and rose ice cream, served in a zone of naturally frozen rose water created outdoors, are offered.
